A limited supply of H1N1 flu vaccine is expected to arrive in Connecticut this week, with more to come later this month.

Backus Hospital, the Uncas Health District, United Community & Family Services, Backus Home Health Care and others are partnering to educate the community on where to find flu shots what people can do to stay as healthy as possible and avoid the flu.

Together, the health organizations have developed a flu web site with the latest information on the flu season. It includes timely updates from the Centers for Disease Control, the state Department of Public Health (DPH), videos, podcasts, a flu shot clinic locator and downloadable flyers. The DPH section of the site also includes information on how to get swine flu vaccine, who should get it first and other important information about seasonal and swine flu.
