Dr. Anthony Alessi to speak at NAACP Wellness Tea

NORWICH - The award-winning Norwich branch of the NAACP will hold a Wellness Membership Tea on Saturday, April 25, from 1-3 p.m. in The William W. Backus Hospital entry level conference rooms. The event is being held in honor of the NAACP's 100th anniversary.
Dr. Anthony G. Alessi, Chief of Neurology at Backus and in private practice at NeuroDiagnostics, LLC, in Norwich, will present on stroke prevention.
Dr. Alessi is author of "Healthy Sports: A Doctor's Lessons for a Winning Lifestyle." He serves as a neurologic consultant to professional and collegiate sports teams as well as the Connecticut State Boxing Commission. Dr. Alessi hosts a radio show "Healthy Rounds" Saturdays from 2-3 p.m. on 104.7-FM. His column entitled Healthy Sports appears weekly in the Norwich Bulletin, other Gatehouse Media publications and online at www.dralessi.blogspot.com.
