Prevention of Fraud, Waste and Abuse

The purpose of this policy is to inform employees, contractors and agents of the Hospital of the federal False Claims Act (referenced in this policy as “FCA”), and to provide general information regarding the Hospital’s efforts to combat fraud, waste, and abuse in the healthcare system, and to describe the remedies and fines for violations that can result from certain types of fraudulent activities.
