Backus to host program on diabetes

The Backus Department of Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism will host a session geared towards people with diabetes.
"My Diabetes, My Vision: The Sneak Attack of Diabetic Retinopathy" will take place on Thursday, Nov. 5, at the Backus Outpatient Care Center located at 111 Salem Turnpike, Norwich.
Dr. Kristie Lin, a specialist in diseases and surgery of the retina and vitreous, will present. The program is free but registration is required by calling 889-8331, ext. 4092.
Suppliers of educational materials and products for the self-management of diabetes will be in attendance.
