If you do not have health insurance and are eligible for a government sponsored health program, our Access to Care staff at Backus Hospital is available to help you through the application process. If you qualify, programs such as HUSKY, T-19, and SAGA may help you with access to healthcare and other vital services for yourself and your family.
If you are uninsured, and do not qualify for a government sponsored insurance program you may be eligible for free or discounted services from Backus Hospital depending on your income level and circumstances. In addition, extended payment plans are available to patients who qualify for payment assistance and who are making good-faith efforts to pay their bill.

Our staff will work with you to complete an application which must be returned with income and resources information. We look forward to working with you to improve access to care for you and your family.
